Patriotic Displays

We’ve had a decent St Blog’s discussion on the use of patriotic songs for Mass on or near national holidays. Have a go at my Art & Environment Team’s display in our parish narthex for the 4th.

What do you think? Just right? Too much? Better off in church?

Maybe a bit more would be nice, but other than that very nice. I’d suggest it not be in front of the doors, it looks like it could pose an obstacle to people walking around in the narthex.

  2. Definitely not in the church!

I’d probably add a stand with an book of intentions, unless your parish has an open book of intentions all of the time.
