Beautiful Baroque

The producers of WFIU’s Harmonia, one of the foremost early music programs in radio, have compiled a recording of wedding selections, Beautiful Baroque. Interested engaged couples and church musicians can also download the period-instrument performances and bypass the cd route entirely.

There’s also the 2006 program, The Wedding Planner, which is well worth a listen, and was a blog topic here a few years back.

The program’s host, Angela Mariani, is a wealth of information on early music. The program archives are a treasure trove of great music. Sacred music is featured prominently in the playlists.
