Carnival of Space #49

Will Gater hosts this week’s carnival, with links to a fascinating line-up of news and opinion on matters astronomical.

Above is the latest color image on the Cassini site. Saturnian winter clouds, deep blue just a few years ago under shadows of the rings, have added some tan as Spring comes slowly to the northern hemisphere. Note the shadow of the moon Mimas: that black dot above the shrinking shadows of the rings.
