Maybe it’s time to overhaul the CitE* Watch and keep an eye on the intelligence quotient of incoming bishops.

The problem with invoking Divine Wrath as a punishment for sin is that the casinos of Monaco haven’t washed away, Vegas hasn’t been submerged in a dust storm, and Hollywood has avoided being dumped into the Pacific. And Santa Maria Maggiore hasn’t burned to the ground because of its archpriest.
