What’s the most extreme thing you ever did to get out of going to church? What about taking the car keys and going for a Sunday morning joy ride? It took place in Utah, and I have to wonder: Mormon, Catholic, Evangelical, or Protestant? You don’t suppose it was this parish?
Any stories?

If you google “Plain City, Utah churches,” this is what you get:

So, no, it was clearly not the Madaleine!
That cathedral, though, is extraordinarily beautiful. Most interesting is the use of angelic images; a response, I assume, to the angel mythology of the LDS Church.

The cathedral is indeed beautiful. It also has speakers in the pews so that the PA can be heard clearly, without echo. A very nice touch that worked quite well.
