I wonder what plainsong afficionados would say to Father Pablo Corino’s comment on the pope’s new album:

(Chant) melodies have been developed and harmonized with the orchestra to give a more cultured, more interesting harmony.

… (P)seudo-spiritual soup of intoned prayer, bastardised Gregorian chant, syrupy orchestral arrangements and portentous vocalising.

What do you think the reaction from reform2 will be?

    I’m not sure that the reform2 reaction will be different from most others — unless they are into a Montavani revival. This project just seemed odd from the start.

    My guess would be “consider the source”.
