All candle companies I’ve dealt with over the years have shipped us a pink item, not rose. Our parish’s Advent candle was pink, despite Fr Dennis’s insistence that it was rose. He conceded it wasn’t “manly” or “burly” enough for him to vary from Advent violet–which is an option, of course.
In other fashion news, I knew a priest who once wore a pink (not rose) stole to go with his violet chasuble–outside the garment, of course. That was not an inspiring combination, I can report.
What did you see in your own parishes or if you were traveling? How much of a variety of rose was there within your parish: vestments, banners, candles, etc.? Sit, if you will, in the armchair of liturgy and tell us how you would have done things differently.

Candle hues often don’t match vestments. They don’t have to, since Advent wreaths are a domestic rather than a liturgical thing.
Our parish has at least a couple of rose vestments, one relatively plain (and somewhat unattractive – there’s something about the fabric finish that is wrong to my eye), and the other more classically damasked. Our new pastor wore the latter yesterday.
I just wish priests were past (1) dealing with their masculinity issues, and (2) explaining the color (unless rose vestments are relatively new to a parish), which usually risks some solipsism or insecure humor.

The photo doesn’t capture it well, but it was a nice pink rose with a deep violet orphrey, ornamented nicely with Maltese crosses.
At Mass I wore a rose chasuble and our deacons wore a rose stole; at Evening Prayer I wore a rose cope. Our Advent wreath includes a rose candle, available from: http://marklincandledesign.com/adv_colors.html
Our wreath is large and usually on Gaudete Sunday we insert roses (of appropriate hue) in
the greens. This year, however, we forgot to order the little water vials for the roses that keep them fresh so we placed the roses in a clear vase in the center of the wreath.
