It’s always heartening to hear of adoption stories. I never tire of them. One Catholic blogger and his family have just begun their experience with adding a young boy to their family.
In our household Adoption Day is a principal observance on the family calendar. Eight years ago today, in a Humboldt County courthouse, we officially became a family of three.
Hard to say what our celebration will entail tonight. I’m home with a mild flu today, and the women of the household haven’t been feeling 100% either. Pizza delivery hasn’t been ruled out. The young miss was well enough to go to school today, so I suspect that Chinese will be our dinner fare.
Blessings to your entire family on Adoption Day!! What’s the music and liturgical color for this principal observance?
My wife used to sing the refrain of Huey Lewis’s “Happy To Be Stuck With You.”
