Mary Wove a Garment of Glory

From Adrian Nocent’s The Liturgical Year, this fourth century quote from Ephrem, hymnwriter and Doctor of the Church:

Mary wove a garment of glory and gave it to her father, Adam, who was naked among the trees. He donned this chaste robe and became beautiful. His wife led him to a fall; his daughter supported him; he arose to be a hero.
