Anybody seen and planning on using the Announcement of Easter and the Moveable Feasts? If you were the liturgist, would you implement it? Or is it too high-churchy for your faith community? How frequently do you suppose monasteries and other similar communities utilize this? Imagine the confluence of traditional and modern: Epiphany worshipers shushing their neighbors to get these important dates into their cells and pdf’s.

It’s always sung in my community, but we’re admittedly high-churchy in that way. Epiphany tends to have some extra splendor than Christmas in university parishes where students are away on Christmas.

I introduced this chant to my current parish once I arrived here. A choir member does it if they have a cantor, else the Mass celebrant– my deacons aren’t quite up to this level of chant.
Hmm, different chant tones from the current English chant. Will have to practice more than once this year.
