According to number 30, the intercessions are introduced and led by the bishop, not the deacon. The prayerds themselves are offered for the community, for Christians and their unity, for those who labor on the building, for persecuted believers prevented from building places or worship, and for those present to “be cleansed by (God’s)divine power and come to share in the celebration of his holy mysteries.”

The Lord’s Prayer is followed immediately by a concluding prayer, the blessing of the bishop, and the dismissal of the deacon.
