From Bishop Lynch’s tribute to Bishop Trautman:
I accompanied Bishop Trautman and others on his Committee to the Congregation for Divine Worship to make the strongest case for gender sensitive (aka “inclusive”) language only to have him treated very shabbily by an American Jesuit either still in or just finished graduate education at Rome’s Gregorian University. That was an awful moment that the bishop took far better than I did.
Shabby treatment: pretty much the modus operandi for those who can’t muster either a sliver of charity or half a brain of good theology.

Lynch is a pervert and sexual harrasser.
Trautperson is the rudest bishop I ever had the misfortune to meet. He gratuitously insulted my (progressive) bishop for no apparent reason other than a habitual evil tongue.
It will be a good day when both of these names are forgotten.

One would think Bishop Trautman would be getting feted by his progressive episcopal confreres, and yet…
Four legs good, two legs bad doesn’t work so much in real life. People can share ideological/theological leanings and still be royal pains in the behind.
