Here’s another challenge for my readers. Our parish has been given a somewhat open-ended gift to put in an elevator in the church. The liturgy committee is concerned that the finance committee might move ahead with a plan without consultation. Here’s your problem:
– How much input should a liturgy committee have?
– How large of an elevator would you recommend? Everything between a simple lift and a heavy-duty installation have been discussed.
– Should it run all the way up to the choir loft? And if so, would you be willing to sacrifice the existing roof line to accommodate an “ideal” location between church and parish hall below?
