Short, but significant:
The liturgical books are to be revised as soon as possible; experts are to be employed on the task, and bishops are to be consulted, from various parts of the world.
Note two things. First, that the council bishops approved a speedy liturgical revision. And second, that experts are to be engaged to do the work with bishops in a supporting role.
Clearly, the Council felt a certain urgency to get the job done. It doesn’t sound at all like people who expected a few liturgical adjustments and then go home.
