A spectacular image posted yesterday on the Cassini site. You can see the golden glow on the planet. This is sunlight reflected off the rings onto the cloud tops of Saturn. Notice the delicate inner rings silhouetted on the clouds. That abrupt end to the lit rings is the shadow of the planet on those billions of ice particles orbiting above the equator.
about this site
Catholic Sensibility is a personal blog by a Catholic layperson with comments and occasional other writings by Catholics and non-Catholics. We make no particular claims to have the completeness of a Roman Catholic expression of Christianity. It contains opinion, interpretation, and personal musings. That’s it. Nothing official or authoritatively connected to the Magisterium.
