Advent Gold

Rock wonders about gold vestments, but it is the Saturday dedication of a parish church. If it’s not a Sunday, gold is good.
The thurible looks interesting.

    Yes, the solemnity of a dedication is only outranked by the following:

    1. Easter triduum of the Lord’s passion and resurrection

    2. Christmas, Epiphany, Ascension, and Pentecost;
    Sundays of Advent, Lent, and the season of Easter;
    Ash Wednesday;
    Weekdays of the Holy Week, Monday to Thursday inclusive;
    Days within the octave of Easter

    3. Solemnities of the Lord,
    the Blessed Virgin Mary,
    and saints listed in the general calendar;
    All Souls’ Day

  2. That is an awesome vestment — at least, the color is exactly right. It’s probably idle to imagine I could get the same fabric, or even match the color . . .

    Fr Fox (or any other person so interested), if you contact me directly by phone or e-mail later today, I should have a contact where you might be able to acquire something of this fabric and color. I’ll be blogging on it a bit later this evening or tomorrow.
