Hand of God: Not Even a Little Bit

I’m going to need a personal paradigm shift, please.

When I used to hear “Hand of God,” my mind went to the ’86 World Cup clash that saw Argentina’s Diego Maradona score a goal off his left fist. Also on wikipedia, a quote from the soccer star the press after the game, that the goal was scored “un poco con la cabeza de Maradona y otro poco con la mano de Dios.”

Now I can follow all the fuss about the documentary film on sex abuse. Those unionbusters in Brownsville, Texas have found their heads above the shooting line this week. dotCommonweal is all over it today, and also here. Last week they linked the site for web-ready viewers to see the film.

Not having seen the documentary, but for a few clips, I don’t know what to say about Brownsville, but perhaps, “Dumb, dumb, dumb.” It can’t be worth the PR fiasco not to have aired the show.

If conservatives could just get over being such bunglers on things like this.
