Seeing One’s Child

Have other parents had this experience?

About an hour ago, my wife and I found a few photos of our daughter from the first day of kindergarten. That was more than five years ago. Brittany’s ears are level with my belt, and in her plaid jumper, she looks like a little little girl.

In contrast, I snapped this image on the phone while we were at a party the other weekend, and I caught a glimpse of what she’ll look like as an adult.

Not that I’m eager to see our only child grow up, but it’s thrilling to think that we’ll unleash a poised, confident, and holy young woman on the waiting world in eight to ten years.

I’m a proud mother of 2 daughters, now in their 20’s….Enjoy the next eight to ten years! They go by much too quickly!
