After an uncertain week with the possibility of the young miss of the family getting one of these (image left), the word is she won’t need one after all. During sleep, her heart rate tends to relax somewhat, but otherwise is perfectly fine. The cardiologist said she must have been very relaxed during last week’s check-up and hook-up to the EKG.
That’s what we get for having a fearless child in the doctor’s office.
Meanwhile, my mother seems not to be doing so well. She was healing well after double knee replacement on Good Friday, but in the last month has fallen three times, breaking ribs twice and yesterday breaking a hip that my sister relates may require surgery.
Meanwhile, blogging will continue in a light mode for the next several days. We turn our attention from medical concerns which may have delayed a move to Iowa, to getting ready for a move in less than a month.
Prayers for my mom would be appreciated. Any other time, I’d ponder flying back east and taking a week or two off to help out. My new job starts Monday, though, and the new pastor has some meetings lined up. Plus there’s all this bank business and such to tend to.
