Carnival 63

Jon Voisey of the Angry Astronomer blog hosts this week’s carnival of space, the 63rd installment. It’s really a very worthwhile read–not at all something that will suck you down into some cosmic drain. I hope to get cracking on more blogging soon, especially the cool astronomy news bits coming out this week.

Speaking of cool, the image above is from Cassini of Saturn’s south pole, taken Monday this week.

I saw a picture from Deep Impact at 33 million miles of Earth – quite stunning! You ought to find that, it’s on the mission web site somewhere.
