The question came up on the radio this morning: how are you pronouncing the new year?

  1. Chase says:

In the shortened version, I’ve heard “O-Ten.”

  2. Richard A says:

We’ve just completed a century of “nineteen-” whatever. I think it’s going to be “twenty-ten” through “twenty-ninety-nine”.

  3. Bender says:

    Two Thousand Ten!

    Pass it on.

  4. Gavin says:

It wasn’t 1,999 so why would it be 2,010?

    How about 11111011010 instead?

  5. tom Kolar says:

How about whatever you feel comfortable with – no reason- like philosophy or theology – it’s just a number – not even a real one in the first place – just something we agree upon to pay our bills and taxes and to be born with or die on , for Social Security or whatever. Whatever you call it, my mother who was born in 1921 calls it twenty twenty one. Hey I am not going to argue with her. She’s older than I.

  6. Jimmy Mac says:

I will call it the last year of the first decade of the new century.
