I see that some Catholics are steaming over the final denial of the management of the Empire State Building to light up for the sainted nun of Calcutta. But I don’t find this dismaying. I wonder what Mother Teresa would say. Bill Donohue:
If he thinks that I’m the only one taking exception to his decision to stiff Mother Teresa, then let him try taking a stroll down 34th Street on the evening of August 26.
I wonder what sort of demonstration is planned. Which would be most edifying to God? Catholics carrying blue and white candles up and down Fifth Avenue? Catholics walking the streets of New York and befriending the homeless? Speeches? Or service?
