OCF 369-370: Where to Celebrate the Office for the Dead?

Some sensible guidance on where the office for the dead may be celebrated:

369. The office for the dead may be celebrated in the funeral home, parlor, chapel of rest, or in the church. In special circumstances, when the office is combined with the funeral liturgy, care should be taken that the celebration not be too lengthy. (GILH 93-97)

370. The place in which the celebration occurs will often  suggest adaptations. A celebration in the home of the deceased, for example, may be simplified or shortened.

A celebration in a home doesn’t automatically suggest simplification or a shorter liturgy.
