Who is responsible for assuring that a translated book actually corresponds with the Latin editio typica?
119. The correspondence of the liturgical books with the editiones typicae approved for liturgical use, in the case of a text prepared only in the Latin language, must be established by the attestation of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments; however, in the case of a text prepared in a vernacular language or in the case described above, in n. 116 c, it must be established by attestation of the local Ordinary in whose diocese the books are published.[Cf. Code of Canon Law, can. 826 § 2; cf. also n. 111.]
