Our final. Two Luke passages have emerged, one from the Passion, the other post-Resurrection:
Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. (Luke 23:42b)
“Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32b)
And words from the Lord himself, Matthew 11:28:
Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Thanks for taking the time to have a little fun. It would be interesting to conduct a scientific poll of Catholics and see which verses are really the most popular. I’m not aware any such thing has ever been done.
Interesting that only one of the three is the words of Jesus.
True. But all are part of the conversation.
