One quick post on the Word of God, and how essential it is for all Catholics to connect with the Scriptures. The objective is clear:
To foster an appreciation of God’s Word in the lives of all Catholics. (GMD 93)
What do the bishops suggest? More reading of the Bible, more bible study programs, and more advanced studies.
What I see as missing are more ways for individuals and small groups to pray with the Word: Lectio Divina foremost among these.
