Make for Drake

Our fifth visit to an institution of higher learning today. Hence the delayed posting of the usual morning stuff. We were up pretty early to arrive on the Drake University campus before 8am.

We met a wider swath of student leaders and professors than in the other four visits. I didn’t get the sense that the young miss was as impressed with this university as with one or two other schools she’s visited. Still, it was another high-end private school.

The Newman Center is across the street from campus, as our parish is in Ames with Iowa State. I’ve been there for meetings. After a full morning of meetings and tours, then lunch, then an activities fair, the rest of the family was cool on a visit there.

So we waved and went home.

An overnight trip is up for the end of next week. We’ll see how we do going to a big out-of-state university.
