Election Day Eve

Tomorrow is Election Day in the US.

We have a pretty tame ballot in my city’s precinct: mayor, two city councillors, and two board seats. The mayor and one of our councillors are running unopposed.

I’ll be working the polls from 7AM till 8PM tomorrow. If you happen to be residing in my precinct, I hope to see you at the polls tomorrow. If not, I hope you are registered, wherever you live. And if not registered, please check to see if you can register on the same day as you vote–that’s how we do it in Iowa. Then register. Then vote. Then feel all warm and American on the inside.

As with liturgy, it’s all about participation: full, conscious, and active.
