The cardinal committee is meeting with Pope Francis today, tomorrow, and Thursday.
The first curial department under the microscope is the CDWDS.
Federico Lombardi, SJ, Vatican spokesman:
They have to start somewhere.
It’s a good place to start. Leadership in Liturgy has been at best unmemorable the past fifteen years.
More from the press office:
The idea is not small or marginal changes, but that of a consistent revision of the apostolic constitution, to the point that a completely new constitution on the Roman Curia is expected.
How can the curia better serve bishops, pastors, and ministries? And not ruin run the show? Anything that rescinds Liturgiam Authenticam will be a good start.
