Hosting

red cardAs I type, Brazil has equalized against a spirited Croatia. But the bishops of the host nation are greatly displeased with their government and sport organizers. Are there enough oligarchs, the Brazilian 1%, to fill these new stadiums? Will the dead be honored, those who gave their lives to keep the building projects nearly on time?

On the other hand, how can nations in Latin America, Africa, or even South Asia expect to host international competitions on a fair and fairly regular basis?
