Mutuae Relationes 62: Rapport

SenanquecloisterThe Church writes here of the expected rapport between groups of bishops and groups of religious superiors. You can check the full document online here. This area of concern is likely to get a lot of attention when this document is revised and updated. My sense is that the onus for mutual respect lies with those responsible for governance.

62. Relations between the council of major superiors and the patriarchal synod, and similarly, relations between the same councils of major superiors and the episcopal conferences as well as inter-ritual assemblies, should be regulated according to criteria which determine the rapport between the individual institute and the local ordinary (cf. Ecclesiae Sanctae I, 23-25; 40); therefore indicative guidelines should also be set up according to the different needs of regions.

Is anyone aware of written guidelines for the USCCB and the LCWR and CMSWR? I’m not. Any thoughts or comments?
