Amoris Laetitia 165: Love Made Fruitful

amoris laetitia memeChapter Five, “Love Made Fruitful,” includes numbered sections 165 through 198, will focus our attention for the next month. Today, a brief introductory paragraph:

165. Love always gives life. Conjugal love “does not end with the couple… The couple, in giving themselves to one another, give not just themselves but also the reality of children, who are a living reflection of their love, a permanent sign of their conjugal unity and a living and inseparable synthesis of their being a father and a mother”.(Familiaris Consortio 14)

With this we begin with the biological fruitfulness of children, and move into family relationships that arise from and support marriage.
