Who Orbits?

From Pope Francis’s TED talk this week:

How wonderful would it be if the growth of scientific and technological innovation would come along with more equality and social inclusion. How wonderful would it be, while we discover faraway planets, to rediscover the needs of the brothers and sisters orbiting around us.

  1. Beautiful words… coming from a prelate who heads an organization, Catholic “Charities” that seeks to eliminate the poor through contraception and abortion, rather than the poverty and lack of human compassion from which they really suffer. This is the truth of what is going on in our church.

    Ted talks. Can we say “distraction”, class?

      A bit mystified by your comment on two counts. First, the connection between contraception and Catholic Charities. And second, the reality that CC is run on a diocesan level, not universal. Could you explain?
