about this site
Catholic Sensibility is a personal blog by a Catholic layperson with comments and occasional other writings by Catholics and non-Catholics. We make no particular claims to have the completeness of a Roman Catholic expression of Christianity. It contains opinion, interpretation, and personal musings. That’s it. Nothing official or authoritatively connected to the Magisterium.

Francis Frustrates Critics
With this:
It bothered at least one of my facebook friends: why doesn’t he just deny the accusation?
To me it seems he doesn’t want to get involved in a back-and-forth. That kind of discussion fuels internet energy. Pope Francis hasn’t been accused in any kind of court. And Archbishop Viganò hasn’t exactly been forthcoming either. When contacted by journalists, he verified the statement but offered no additional comment.
