Christus Vivit 267: Single And Baptized

“Love and family” doesn’t always work out in our “Vocation.” A final thought on that topic today, for people who are not married.

If you want to refer to the full Apostolic Exhortation check this link at the Vatican site.

267. For those who are not called to marriage or the consecrated life, it must always be remembered that the first and most important vocation is the vocation we have received in baptism. Those who are single, even if not by their own choice, can offer a particular witness to that vocation through their own path of personal growth.

Baptism and the discernment that follows can be a path of personal growth. But let’s be careful not to associate baptism’s path too much with self-discovery and fulfillment. The call of baptism is to serve the mission of Jesus. Any comments?
