In another week, the church document Christus Vivit gets a wrap. It’s been in the publication queue for some days now. I hear the Amazon synod summary is on its way. I’ve seen leaks about it on an alarmist site or two. That might be an interesting read, though I suspect a lot of Catholics will just forward to the part about celibacy in the priesthood and continue in ignorance about Eastern Christianity and non-Catholic clergy swimming the Tiber.
As for this site, we might be heading into a more fallow period. People still arrive here for wedding and funeral readings. That’s most of it. When I have an inspiration to drop a note on a Scripture for another sacrament, it might come down, but hardly anyone is interested in illness, death, and the Bible as a trinity of choice.
Lent is also on the way, a season where social media has replaced chocolate as the fast-of-choice. Fewer posts, probably. But not because of the season.
Aside from the Amazon synod piece, I’m having a hard time coming up with another foray that would hold my interest, let alone you readers. We’ll see.
