Just a fraction of a mile off the road, this was a prime stop on our visit the other day.
My wife especially enjoys the waterfalls, though the brief hike to get to a view was a bit strenuous for her. “I used to like camping and hiking,” she moaned.
We’ve hit up most of the accessible falls on our side of the Puget Sound, in and around the Olympic Mountains. We saw some truly pleasant settings in the sliver of the national park we visited Tuesday. Here is a wider view of where Christine goes after the cliff:
And while the natural setting is often the best, this framing with the stone footbridge overhead was admittedly nice:
