Another Saint Michael Prayer

As I write, most of the world has moved past the observance of the Archangels. I was browsing a bit on PrayTell and found this post mentioning this devotion which includes this prayer:

O glorious prince Saint Michael,
chief and commander of the heavenly hosts,
guardian of souls,
vanquisher of rebel spirits,
servant in the house of the Divine King
and our admirable conductor;
You who shine with superhuman virtue;
deliver us from all evil,
who turn to you with confidence;
and enable us by your gracious protection
to serve God more and more faithfully every day.

I find the casual use of the other prayer to be slightly disrespectful. As I’ve read in the Scriptures, angels are serious beings and do not suffer human “use” fondly. If I were to invoke them regularly, I’m sure I would want to pray more seriously than the Pope Leo prayer.
