Today we begin Chapter Seven, and we’ll explore the topic of “Paths Of Renewed Encounter” from this small introductory paragraph through the 270th. The major topics addressed are truth (226-227), peace (228-235), forgiveness (236-245), memory (246-254), and the issues of war and the death penalty (255-270).
225. In many parts of the world, there is a need for paths of peace to heal open wounds. There is also a need for peacemakers, men and women prepared to work boldly and creatively to initiate processes of healing and renewed encounter.
Peacemakers are cited because they are the ones who serve to give the rest of us enlightenment on these issues facing the world. I don’t know about you, but that topic, “memory” looks very interesting. Can’t wait.
