Formerly, the Ecclesia Dei Commission had been folded into the orbit of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF). That will no longer be the case.
Art. 7. The Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments and the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, for matters of their particular competence, exercise the authority of the Holy See with respect to the observance of these provisions.
For liturgy, it will now be in the purview of the CDWDS, and for religious orders, the Congregation that oversees religious life. Perhaps this provision is the least controversial of anything in TC. Any comments on how this might be taken on the ground?
