Boycotting the Cheater

It’s a game I love to play. Honest.

In 2016, the bridge federations of Italy and North America found an Italian world champion credibly accused of cheating while playing for Monaco in 2014 and banned him. He was cleared on appeal in his home nation, but not on this side of the Atlantic. Italy named him to the team competing in the European qualifiers for the 2022 world championship. But none of the other teams is taking a seat against the Italians.

I wonder how that would have gone down in Olympic competition this past summer against nations found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs on their athletes.
