Populorum Progressio 66: Worldwide Brotherly Love

In describing “Worldwide Brotherly Love,” I think we are talking less of a man-to-man association, but capturing something of a familial spirit. I would propose that we are talking less about an affinity or infatuation with people we like, but developing a mutual concern for people simply because we are all human beings.

That said, 1967 had a problem, and it didn’t go away:

66. Human society is sorely ill. The cause is not so much the depletion of natural resources, nor their monopolistic control by a privileged few; it is rather the weakening of brotherly ties between individuals and nations.
